by Barbara Klein, Chairperson
The mission of the Bereavement Committee is to create a warm setting where family and friends can come together in the Fellowship Hall to have a bite to eat, visit with each other and share memories after a funeral.
The food is provided by the members of Zion and in this way we serve Christ by serving others. The Bereavement Committee attempts to contact donors at home, leaving phone messages when possible. If you are called, please return the call to help others in their time of sorrow. Donations can be brought by the church office if you are not available at reception time.
In our fast paced society, we are not always able to contribute in the same way. If you cannot donate food items, please consider a monetary donation to be used when additional food items are needed. Monetary donations may be made at any time by using a LOVE envelope marked “Bereavement Committee.”
The Bereavement Committee asks for your prayers for our committee and that our ministry continues to grow.
